If your bird shots all look the same — tack-sharp, frozen mid-flap, zero mood — this is probably why: you've been treating 1/2000s as a rule instead of a starting point. Intentional motion blur and panning techniques are well-established tools in wildlife photography, but most shooters never experiment because 'fast shutter = sharp bird' feels safe.
