If you shoot events, weddings, or interiors on Canon RF and want f/2.8 at 16mm without the RF 15-35mm price tag, this lens deserves a look — but the distortion question is the one thing that separates 'great value' from 'wrong tool.' Barrel distortion at 16mm is almost always correctable in post, but if you shoot architecture or real estate where you're tethering or delivering uncorrected RAWs, you need to know what you're working with before it's on a job.
