Blackmagic is iterating fast on Resolve 21's photo tools, which tells you two things: the initial beta had real rough edges, and they're taking the photo editing push seriously enough to fix it quickly. If you've been curious whether Resolve can genuinely compete in the stills editing space, Beta 2 is the version worth actually testing. Still not a reason to migrate from Lightroom or Capture One, but the pace of updates suggests Blackmagic isn't treating photo tools as a feature checkbox.
