Laowa Brings Autofocus to Micro Four Thirds
MFT shooters have been the odd ones out for third-party autofocus glass. Sigma covers the mount. Viltrox covers it. Laowa hasn't, until now. The announcement of proper AF lenses for Micro Four Thirds matters because Laowa builds glass that fills real gaps: ultra-wide zooms, serious macro, fast primes at prices that don't require a conversation with your accountant. An AF 35mm F2.2 Macro at MFT crop gives you an effective 70mm macro with serious reach. The 7.5mm F2.8 in autofocus is genuinely useful for gimbal work and event shooting where pulling focus manually is just not happening. No shipping dates yet, so file this under 'on the radar' not 'order now.' But if you're running an OM System body or a Lumix and you've been waiting for affordable AF glass with character, Laowa just confirmed they're coming for that gap.
