Leaked specs put it at 44.3MP BSI CMOS with a 176MP multishot mode, 819 AF points, 40fps, and 14 stops of dynamic range — sitting between the 60MP SL3 and 24MP SL2-S in the lineup, with a body described as closely related to the Panasonic S1RII. Rumoured price is around €5,850. Two lenses are expected at the same announcement: the APO Macro Elmarit SL 100mm f/2.8 (made in Japan, 30cm MFD, ~€2,500) and the Summilux SL 50mm f/1.4 ASPH (made in Germany, weather-sealed, ~€5,000) — though both lenses may not ship until later in 2026.
