British fine-art photographer John Balsdon shot through Western Sahara, Morocco and the length of Africa as part of a team attempting to break the Cape to Cape road record — Nordkapp, Norway to Cape Agulhas, South Africa, 20,000km. The previous record of 28 days and 13 hours has stood since 1984. Balsdon, known for aerial work, was shooting on the move rather than his usual extended-location approach.
