DJI Avata 360 Takes On Insta360, Camera Brands Reject Generative AI, OM System Confirms New PEN Coming
DJI just made the immersive drone market genuinely competitive with the Avata 360 — dual 1-inch sensors and 8K 360 capture means you can fly once and choose your shot angle in post, with image quality that actually holds up at delivery sizes. Every major camera brand has publicly committed to keeping generative AI out of the camera itself, which is a bigger deal than it sounds for preserving the photographic record. Meanwhile OM System confirmed a new PEN body and wide prime lenses are in development, giving MFT shooters a real reason to stick around instead of jumping to APS-C. On the lens front, Samyang's refreshed 35mm f/1.8 for Sony with updated coatings and SG-Image's ultracompact 163g AF 35mm f/2.2 are both worth a look if you shoot street or travel. Skip the NAS review and the Tamron Japan pricing news — neither applies to most of you.
