Canon Rumour Recap: R8 II, R10 II, R7 II and a Stack of RF Lenses
auto_awesomePixelfetch Take

PhotoRumors has pulled together everything currently floating around about Canon's near-term roadmap, and there's a fair bit to chew on. The headliner is the EOS R8 Mark II, reportedly due Fall 2026 with a 32.5MP full-frame sensor, IBIS, 40fps electronic shutter (no mechanical), dual SD slots and 4K video, possibly with a retro body design. On the APS-C side, the R10 Mark II is said to be next cab off the rank, with the R7 Mark II now slipping to 2027. The lens list is the other thing worth noting: RF 300-600mm f/5.6L, replacements for the 400/2.8 and 600/4 primes, a 500mm prime (possibly f/5.6L IS), and a 105mm f/1.4L VCM are all in the rumour mix. None of this is confirmed, all per PhotoRumors, and timelines this far out have moved before.
