CIPA May 2026: Mirrorless Up 2%, DSLRs Down 32% YTD

CIPA's May 2026 production figures are out. DSLRs are down 32% in units and 39% in shipped value year-to-date against 2025. Mirrorless is holding positive ground at plus 2% units and plus 9% value. Compacts continue their run, up 22% units and 29% value YTD. Full-year ILC body volume is now projected at 6.29 to 6.89 million units, revised down from last month's forecast.
