DIY Modular Lens System Built from Thrift Store Point-and-Shoots

auto_awesomePixelfetch Take
Clever workshop project, zero commercial relevance. A YouTuber reverse-engineered salvaged compact camera lenses into a modular system with swappable aperture discs and a Sony E-mount base. Fun to watch, genuinely interesting as a lens mechanics lesson, and a good excuse to crack open that broken Olympus Stylus collecting dust in your drawer. But this is a hobbyist experiment, not a tool that changes anything about how you shoot. If you're into lens modification or teaching yourself optics, worth 10 minutes. Everyone else can scroll.
