Thypoch Voyager AF 24-50mm f/2.8: First Third-Party AF Zoom Under $700
Third-party brands have been dismantling prime lens pricing for a few years now. Zooms with autofocus were the one territory they hadn't touched. Thypoch just changed that. The Voyager AF 24-50mm f/2.8 is the first autofocus zoom from a third-party manufacturer for full-frame mirrorless, and it comes in under $700. That range covers a lot of real work: events, corporate, editorial, run-and-gun anything. The 24-50 f/2.8 focal range isn't exotic, but a fast constant aperture zoom at this price point from a non-Sony, non-Canon, non-Tamron name is genuinely new territory. If the optical quality holds up under scrutiny, this is the start of a much bigger fight on zoom pricing.
