More megapixels means bigger files, slower cards, more storage spend, and longer culling sessions. Unless you're cropping aggressively for billboard output or shooting medium-format fashion, 40MP-plus cameras are solving a problem most photographers don't have. The sweet spot for commercial and event work sits somewhere between 24MP and 36MP, where file handling stays fast and image quality is genuinely excellent. Know what you're actually billing for before you chase the spec sheet.
