Dynamic Range Scores Don't Win Jobs

Here's the actual problem: photographers use dynamic range scores to justify gear purchases they've already decided to make. The spec becomes the excuse, not the reason. If you're shooting high-contrast Australian midday light and blowing your highlights, that's a technique problem before it's a sensor problem. Most working photographers, on most jobs, are nowhere near the ceiling of what current sensors can capture. The camera you already own has more latitude than your worst-lit corporate boardroom will ever demand of it.
