Fisheye glass has been the punchline of gear discussions for years, so the fact it's quietly selling again is worth a raised eyebrow. No new product launch is driving this, which makes it more interesting, not less. Something in how photographers are working right now is pulling them back toward maximum distortion and ultra-wide fields of view. If you've had a fisheye sitting in a drawer since a skate shoot in 2014, it might be time to reconsider what it earns you on architecture, events, or anything where conventional framing has stopped exciting clients.
