GoPro CEO Nick Woodman has written to the GoPro community clarifying that the company's pending merger with Starman Optical won't stop it making consumer cameras. The original merger announcement focused heavily on defence, aerospace and government markets, with only a passing commitment to 'existing' consumer products — enough to raise questions about future camera development. Woodman's letter says the deal will improve GoPro's financial position and that the company plans new cameras, accessories, and software.
