Greig Fraser — the DP behind Dune and now Project Hail Mary — didn't solve a visual problem with a $2,000 cinema filter. He grabbed something cheap off Amazon. That alone should make every photographer rethink their instinct to chase expensive glass or premium accessories when a $15 option might do the same job on set.
