If you've got a shelf of Leica M film bodies collecting dust, this is the most compelling reason yet to pull them out — a fully self-contained digital sensor that drops into the film gate and works with the camera's own mechanical shutter. The fact that it needs no external screen or cables is the real leap here; previous I'm Back versions required an external module which killed compatibility with sealed bodies like the Nikonos. $550k on Kickstarter suggests the hybrid film crowd is real and growing — but back this with your eyes open, it's still crowdfunded.
