Iranian photojournalist Yalda Moaiery has been sentenced to 15 years in prison by Branch 29 of Tehran's Revolutionary Court, in absentia. Moaiery has spent more than 20 years covering conflict, humanitarian crises, and women's rights in Iran, and has received international recognition for her work. The sentence was handed down on Iran National Journalist Day.
