A century-old question: Andrew Irvine carried a Vest Pocket Kodak on Everest in 1924 and was never seen alive again. The camera is still missing somewhere on the north face. If it surfaces and the film survived the cold, it could show whether Mallory and Irvine reached the summit 29 years before Hillary.
