A prototype of the Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH built for the Leica M for (RED) project — designed by Jony Ive and Marc Newson circa 2012 — is listed for Wetzlar Camera Auctions on October 10th, 2026. It carries no serial number and differs from the finished piece. The matching camera sold for $1.8 million at a previous auction.
