Light Lens Lab has shared a progress update on its ground-up black-and-white film manufacturing project, with full production-line testing and a first commercial release both targeted for 2026. Planned formats cover 135, 120, 127, 126, 4x5, and 8x10, with additional formats still under development. Early test runs hit quality-control problems including static during emulsion coating on 8x10 and emulsion scratches on 4x5 tabular-grain samples — the company says it won't move to official production until those are resolved.
