Nikon shipped 60,000 fewer cameras and 60,000 fewer lenses in Q1 FY2026 (April-June) compared to the same period last year, with imaging revenue dropping 8.8% to ¥72.9 billion and operating profit falling 27.5% to ¥8.1 billion. The company points to softening demand in China and rising memory chip prices, and has cut its full-year camera sales forecast from 910,000 to 850,000 units.
