Nikon Imaging Revenue Down 8.8%, Fujifilm Up 16.2% in Latest Results

Nikon's imaging division had a rough Q1 FY2027: revenue dropped 8.8% to ¥72.9 billion, operating profit fell 27.5%, and camera unit sales slid from 270,000 to 210,000, with China demand contraction and higher memory costs the main culprits. Nikon has since revised its full-year imaging guidance down. Fujifilm ran the opposite direction, with imaging revenue up 16.2% driven by Instax and continued strong X100VI and X-series sales. Tamron's lens segment absorbed a 29.3% operating income hit in H1 despite top-line growth, and four new lens releases are flagged for the rest of the year.
