China's CNIPA has declared Nikon's Z-mount accessory patent entirely invalid, ruling in favour of Viltrox parent company Shenzhen Jueying Technology. The decision, dated July 13, 2026, covers patent No. 202010127062.4 and removes a key legal obstacle Nikon held over third-party Z-mount lens makers in China.
