Panasonic's Viewfinder Retreat Is Backfiring
auto_awesomePixelfetch Take

Photographers have been quietly furious about this for years: you buy a dedicated camera to get capabilities your phone can't match, and somewhere in a product meeting someone decided an EVF was optional. Panasonic aren't alone in making this call, but they've made it repeatedly enough that PetaPixel finally said it out loud. The market is pushing back. Compact cameras with built-in viewfinders are selling because serious shooters want them. The S9 launched without one and the criticism was immediate. If Panasonic reads the room and puts EVFs back into an LX or GM successor, that's a genuine story worth watching. Until then, this is commentary, not news.
