Most photographers treat insurance like a venue checkbox. Buy a policy, file it, forget it. Then something gets stolen on location or a client trips over a sandbag and suddenly you're reading the fine print for the first time under the worst possible conditions. The real issue isn't whether you have insurance. It's whether your policy actually covers how you shoot. Hired gear, assistants, drone operations, overseas work, client data loss, errors and omissions. Each one is a separate conversation most photographers never have with their broker until the claim is already in.
