SG-image Launches Two MFT Primes: 25mm F1.8 and 18mm F2.2

auto_awesomePixelfetch Take
MFT shooters are getting two more affordable metal-bodied primes from SG-image, a brand already making noise in the APS-C third-party lens space. The 18mm F2.2 is the more interesting of the two: a compact wide with a 34mm filter thread and 18cm minimum focus distance, which puts it squarely in street and travel territory for OM System and Panasonic users who don't want to pay Olympus-era prices. The 25mm F1.8 looks nearly identical to the existing APS-C version, so manage expectations on optical redesign. No pricing yet, but if SG-image holds to its usual value positioning, these are worth watching for run-and-gun MFT kits.
