Their zoom-heavy catalogue is a deliberate strategy, not an oversight, and any future prime will need to occupy a focal length or spec nobody else has touched. If you've been waiting on a Tamron prime, don't hold your breath — but when it comes, it'll probably be genuinely interesting.
