Manufacturers keep pushing sensor resolution higher. Your clients keep not asking for it. The actual constraint on print quality for most commercial and editorial work isn't megapixels — it's glass, light, and whether you can keep the camera steady. If you're shooting events, architecture, or editorial at standard delivery sizes, a 24MP body with a sharp prime is probably doing more work for you than a 60MP body with a kit zoom. Worth reading if you're mid-upgrade-cycle and feeling the spec anxiety.
