Used DSLR Market Booms While New Sales Hit the Floor

New DSLR shipments dropped to under 700,000 units in 2025, down from nearly a million in 2024. The secondhand market is absorbing that demand instead. For photographers buying into a system on a budget, or picking up a second body for a specific job, that's a bigger pool of capable glass-compatible bodies at prices that'll keep dropping as manufacturers stop feeding the segment.
