Viltrox is teasing a Micro Four Thirds lens announcement for July 23rd, per a post on Xiaohongshu. The teaser shows a puzzle piece slotting into an M4/3-labelled hole, and hashtags translate to "lens" — but no focal length, mount design, or specs are confirmed. The Viltrox US Reddit account has since posted "Something new coming soon." Viltrox has become a significant third-party lens maker across Sony E, Nikon Z, and Fujifilm X mounts. M4/3 hasn't seen a major new third-party autofocus lens entrant for some time, with Sigma's M4/3 range remaining unupdated.
