Zeiss is teasing something on June 2, and the framing is pointed: they've explicitly acknowledged that manual-focus-only lenses haven't satisfied everyone. The Otus glass is optically exceptional but operationally awkward for working photographers who need to deliver sharp frames fast. If this announcement turns out to be autofocus Zeiss glass, that's a genuine conversation starter, competing in premium native-mount territory against Sigma Art and Sony G Master. Worth watching the date. Nothing to buy or spec until then.
