Brightin Star 12mm f/2.8 FE Autofocus Lens Launches May 22
Sony FE shooters who need a native-mount ultra-wide without paying Sigma or Sony prices have a new contender to watch. Brightin Star is announcing the 12mm f/2.8 FE with autofocus on May 22 — that's the detail that matters, because most budget ultra-wides in this space are still manual focus. No pricing yet, but if Brightin Star holds to their usual positioning well under first-party alternatives, this becomes a real option for architecture, interiors, and event work where you need context, not compression. Worth bookmarking the launch date.
