7Artisans AF 135mm f/1.8 MAX Coming in May for E/Z/L Mounts

A fast 135mm with AF for under what Viltrox charges is the actual story here. If 7Artisans prices this meaningfully below the Viltrox AF 135mm f/1.8 LAB at $899 USD, portrait and event shooters on Sony, Nikon Z, or L-mount have a real decision to make before their next job. The 0.68m minimum focus distance gives you more creative range than most 135mm lenses allow. No pricing confirmed yet, so watch the official channel. Means nothing until it ships with a number attached.

Type II versions of the two 28mm lenses remain in production. Adobe Acquires Topaz Labs

Two items worth noting from this digest. 7Artisans will announce an AF 135mm f/1.8 MAX for L-mount on June 30th — autofocus at that focal length and aperture from 7Artisans is a new one for the L-mount ecosystem. Separately, Adobe has confirmed it's acquiring Topaz Labs, whose sharpening and upscaling tools are widely used in photographer post-production workflows.
