Samyang AF 14-24mm F2.8 Now Lands on L-Mount

Panasonic S and Leica SL shooters finally get a legitimate third-party ultra-wide zoom option that isn't a Sigma Art the size of a brick. The Samyang 14-24mm F2.8 on L-mount weighs 441g and takes 77mm filters, which is genuinely rare at this focal length. The Schneider-Kreuznach co-design isn't marketing window dressing either — it's the same optical formula that earned solid marks on Sony FE. The bigger story here is the system play: Samyang is building a matched trio at 14-24, 24-60, and 60-180, all constant F2.8. If the 60-180mm ships on spec, L-mount users have a lightweight three-lens zoom kit that no other third-party manufacturer is currently offering them.

Samyang AF 60-180mm F2.8 FE Completes Sony Zoom Trinity

Samyang's AF 60-180mm F2.8 FE lands as the third piece of its lightweight Sony full-frame zoom set, co-developed with Schneider-Kreuznach. Weighs 730g with a linear stepping motor AF, floating focus system, and a minimum focus distance of 0.35m. Note the filter thread mismatch within the trinity: this lens and the 14-24mm take 77mm, the 24-60mm takes 72mm.
