GFX shooters have always paid a premium for autofocus glass. Meike just showed hands-on images of their AF 85mm f/1.8 for the GFX mount at China P&E, and if it performs anywhere near their existing versions for other systems, it's a legitimate working lens at a fraction of the Fujinon price. This is only their second AF lens for the platform. No pricing or release date confirmed yet, but the direction is clear: third-party makers are moving into medium format AF territory, and that matters for portrait and commercial photographers who want GFX resolution without locking every dollar into first-party glass.

Meike's AF 85mm f/1.8 for Fujifilm GFX has a confirmed July release date, per FujiRumors. The lens has been available on other mounts for a while and was shown on GFX at a trade event in May. It'll be only the second autofocus option for the GFX system from a third-party manufacturer.

Meike has officially announced an AF 85mm f/1.8 lens for the Fujifilm GFX mount, launched first in Asia. It uses an in-house STM stepping motor, 11 elements in 7 groups, 11 aperture blades, 0.65m minimum focus distance, and weighs 406g with a 62mm filter thread.
