Leica Revives the APO-Macro-Elmarit as an SL-Mount 100mm f/2.8
Leica has announced the APO-Macro-Elmarit-SL 100mm f/2.8, bringing the lineage of its 1987 R-mount macro lens into the SL system. The original R-mount version had a strong reputation among macro shooters.

Leica Summilux-SL 50mm F1.4 Shrinks Significantly, New 100mm Macro Joins SL Line
Leica's updated Summilux-SL 50mm F1.4 Asph. cuts nearly 500g and almost 50mm of length from its predecessor, with a 67mm filter thread replacing the old 82mm. The new APO-Macro-Elmarit-SL 100mm F2.8 adds 1:1 macro to the SL lineup, with apochromatic correction and a design lineage tracing back to a 1987 R-mount classic. The 50mm retails at $4,950.

Leica SL3-P: 44MP BSI Sensor, 40fps, Plus Two New SL Lenses
Leica's SL3-P arrives as the new top of the SL line: 44MP BSI full-frame sensor, 14 stops dynamic range, ISO 50-200,000, and a hybrid AF system covering 819 points with subject tracking at up to 40fps continuous. Video specs include 8.1K Open Gate at 24fps, 4K at 120fps, HDMI RAW 8K output, and Apple ProRes up to 5.8K. Two new L-mount lenses announced at the same time: the Summilux-SL 50mm F/1.4 ASPH and the APO-Macro-Elmarit-SL 100mm F/2.8. Body carries an IP54 weather rating and drops the red Leica badge.
