Adobe Camera Raw 18.6 Adds Native Glow Tool with Diffusion, Bloom and Halation

Adobe Camera Raw 18.6 is out with a new Glow tool sitting in the Effects panel alongside Vignette and Grain. Three styles: diffusion (full-frame haze, think Black Mist filter), bloom (highlight-only soft glow), and halation (warm colour fringing around bright edges, like film base reflection). All three work with ACR's masking system so you can pin the effect to a subject or luminance range — though style settings are global, masks just control intensity. Also in this update: a Metadata Info Panel in the editing workspace, a Trim tool that makes out-of-crop pixels transparent rather than hidden, and new camera and lens profiles. One thing to note: this is ACR, not Lightroom.

Camera Raw 18.6 Shows Exactly Where Your Camera Focused

Camera Raw 18.6 adds an autofocus point checker that overlays the actual focus points your camera used onto the image. Useful during culling when you need to confirm whether the camera locked onto the right subject before committing to an edit.
