Sony's new 100-400mm GM is the lens wildlife and sports shooters on E-mount have been waiting for, and internal zoom alone makes it worth serious attention. No barrel creep on a monopod, no rebalancing on a gimbal mid-shoot. The four XD linear motors mean focus tracking keeps up with anything moving fast. At USD $4,298 it's not cheap, but compare it to Canon's RF 100-500mm or Nikon's Z 100-400mm at similar money and this spec sheet is competitive.
