Sony Cinema Line cameras up 12-19% in Japan from September
Sony Japan has confirmed price hikes across its Cinema Line, effective September 1, 2026. The FX3A body goes from ¥581,900 to ¥693,000 (up 19.1%), the FX6 body from ¥935,000 to ¥1,045,000 (up 11.8%), the FR7 PTZ from ¥1,430,000 to ¥1,622,500 (up 13.5%), and the FX30 body from ¥297,000 to ¥319,000 (up 7.4%). Sony cites rising raw material, manufacturing, and logistics costs. No Australian pricing announced yet, but Japan moves often flow through to other markets.

Panasonic AW-UE200 PTZ Cameras Use Global Shutter Sensor
Panasonic's new AW-UE200 and AW-UER200 PTZ camera series use a 1.2-inch 5K global shutter MOS sensor oversampling to 4K, with pan/tilt up to 400 degrees per second and a 22x zoom lens (22.5-500mm equivalent). The AW-UER200 variant adds a roll axis spanning plus or minus 200 degrees. All four models ship in 2027.
