DJI Lito Series Launches for First-Time Drone Flyers
DJI's Lito series isn't for you, it's for whoever keeps asking you to teach them to fly. The Lito 1 shoots 8K stills and 4K video off a 1/2" sensor, while the Lito X1 bumps to a 1/1.3" chip with f/1.7, 14 stops of dynamic range, 10-bit D-Log M, and forward LiDAR for tighter obstacle sensing. Thirty-six minutes of flight time and 50MB/s Wi-Fi 6 transfer are genuinely solid numbers at this tier. If you've got clients, students, or family members who want to get in the air without torching their budget on a Mini 4 Pro, this is the answer you'll be handing them.

DJI Lito X1 & Lito 1 Land in Europe, Not the US (Or Australia)
Two new 249g DJI drones just landed in Europe, and if that weight sounds familiar, it should. Under 250g means no registration required in most markets, including Australia under CASA's rules. The Lito X1 is the more capable sibling: 1/1.3-inch sensor, 10-bit D-Log M, forward LiDAR, 36-minute flight time. The Lito 1 strips it back for casual aerial work but keeps 4K/60p and omnidirectional obstacle sensing. Nothing available in Australia yet, which means no pricing in AUD, no CASA classification, and no point budgeting for one. Worth watching, not worth acting on.

DJI Lito X1 Review: 48MP, LiDAR, 4K/100fps at $379
DJI's Lito X1 sits at USD $379 and packs a 1/1.3-inch 48MP sensor, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, forward-facing LiDAR, ActiveTrack, and 42GB of internal storage into a sub-249g foldable body. Verdict from Amateur Photographer: strong 4K video, but raw files show some softness in fine detail and JPEGs run heavy-handed out of the box.
