Sony's RX10 V arrives nine years after the RX10 IV with the same 24-600mm f/2.4-4.0 zoom and a 20MP 1-inch stacked sensor Sony describes only as 'updated'. DPReview's studio test of the Sony RX10 V finds Raw image quality essentially unchanged from the 2017 RX10 IV — same 20MP stacked Type 1 sensor, same detail and noise at base ISO. JPEG output is a different story: colour rendering is noticeably more accurate, with better skin tones and more balanced vibrancy across the board.
