Sony RX10 V and FX5 Rumoured for July Announcement
Sony Alpha Rumors and Camera Insider are both pointing to two Sony announcements in July — the RX10 V bridge camera early in the month, followed by a new Cinema Line body mid-month. The cinema camera is widely referred to as the FX5, though Camera Insider called it the FX4, so the final name isn't settled. Rumoured specs for the cinema body include a 16MP stacked global shutter sensor, 5K up to 240fps, and 5K 3:2 open gate recording with full-sensor phase-detection autofocus. All specs unconfirmed.

ARRI Sells Global Rental Business in Management Buy-Out

DPReview's studio test of the Sony RX10 V finds Raw image quality essentially unchanged from the 2017 RX10 IV — same 20MP stacked Type 1 sensor, same detail and noise at base ISO. JPEG output is a different story: colour rendering is noticeably more accurate, with better skin tones and more balanced vibrancy across the board.
