Mandler's spherical recreation of the Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 PRE-ASPH E46 has a confirmed launch date of September 20, 2026, priced at USD $368 (black aluminium) or $548 (silver chrome brass). Pure spherical double-Gauss design, 7 elements in 5 groups, ED and HRI glass, 6-bit M-mount coding, 12 blades, and a closer 0.5m MFD than the original.

Mandler 50mm f/1.4 PRE-ASPH E46 for Leica M Opens for Orders
Mandler's 50mm f/1.4 PRE-ASPH E46 for Leica M-mount is now open for orders: USD $368 in black aluminium (290g) or $548 in silver chrome brass (385g), with worldwide shipping and taxes covered by Mandler. It's a modern rebuild of Leica's final spherical 50mm f/1.4 from the 1990s, using a 7-element, 5-group double-Gauss design with no aspherical elements, plus ED and HRI glass. Six-bit coded, full-frame, 12-aperture-blade, 46mm filter thread, minimum focus 0.5m. LTM version to follow.
