Insta360 X6 Clears FCC, August/September Launch Possible
Insta360 X6 cleared FCC certification on July 3, following approvals in China, the UAE, and India back in March. Unconfirmed specs per The New Camera: 8K60, 10-bit video, HDR improvements, and a sensor in the 1-inch or 1/1.28-inch range. An August or September announcement is speculated based on certification timelines for the X4 and X5, both of which launched in April of their respective years.

DJI Osmo 360 II Leak: Replacement Lenses Arriving in Warehouses

A second leak shows the camera in testing with partial '360 II' branding. Insta360 X6 Launches with Native 8K/50, Bigger Sensors, Dolby Vision
Insta360's X6 shoots native 8K/50 video with 10-bit colour and in-camera Dolby Vision — the company says it's the first 360 camera to do the latter. The two custom square Sony sensors are Type 1/1.1 (101mm²), up from 76mm² in the X5. Single-lens mode goes to 5K/60 or 4K/120. A new 8-core processor handles the workload while reportedly cutting power draw by 35% versus the previous chip.
