Fujifilm has announced the XF 400mm F4.5 R LM OIS WR, a 609mm-equivalent super-telephoto prime for X-mount. It pairs with the XF 500mm F5.6 and XF 200mm F2 to complete a three-lens super-tele set. Fujifilm's engineers say the 400mm is sharper than the 500mm despite sharing most of the same optical formula. Fujifilm has announced the XF400mm F4.5 R LM OIS WR for X-mount, a 600mm-equivalent super-telephoto coming in at 1,245g. The 21-element design includes six ED-type elements to keep chromatic aberration in check, and the stabilisation system is rated at 5.5 stops. Pairs with Fujifilm's existing 1.4x and 2x teleconverters, stretching reach to 840mm or 1,200mm equivalent.
