Sony has confirmed manufacturing-line damage at its Kumamoto sensor plant after the July 28 earthquake, with no restart timeline given and Fujifilm and TSMC also affected nearby. Elsewhere, Fujifilm has delisted the X-T5 in Japan, Venus Optics unveiled two ultra-macro parfocal zooms, and a photojournalist's six-week detention while covering an ICE story adds a press-freedom note to the day.
