Lightroom adds Generative Expand as Sony's imaging profit doubles

Adobe has pushed simultaneous updates across Lightroom Classic, Desktop and Mobile, with Desktop and Mobile gaining Generative Expand for the first time. Sony's Q1 FY2026 earnings release re-confirmed the proposed Tamron acquisition alongside a sharp rise in imaging-sensor profit, and Leicarumors reports a Q3 43 Monochrom slotted for fall with no date pinned yet. Lens rumours round out the day, spanning Sony's E-mount pipeline and Canon's RF 24-70mm f/2L and 300-600mm.
