Sony Semiconductor Solutions and TSMC have formalised a $4.7 billion joint venture to build a new sensor fab in Kumamoto, with volume production targeted for 2029. Elsewhere, LensRentals has published one of the first rigorous benchmarks of Sony's FE 50-150mm f/2 GM, a focal range with no real full-frame precedent at that aperture. Lens rumours, a prison photobook, and two editing-software updates round out the day.
