A new PEN launches at $999, and Ricoh formally ends the Pentax DSLR line

A camera launch and a DSLR exit lead a mixed gear day
From the Editor

OM System's new PEN launched today at $999 body-only, a 20MP Micro Four Thirds body with in-body stabilisation and weather-sealing that undercuts every other weather-sealed mirrorless on the market — the company also confirmed it has separated from investment firm JIP. Ricoh has formally ended production of the entire Pentax K-series DSLR lineup, retiring the KF, K-3 III, K-3 III Monochrome and K-1 II, while promising a K-mount successor built around an as-yet-unspecified "entirely new concept." Elsewhere, Sirui's rotating anamorphic lens line lands at $599, and Nikon has confirmed new firmware is in development for the Zf.
